The project entails the development and operation of a 25-MW biomass power plant located in Chana, Province of Songkhla. Gulf Chana Green is the special purpose vehicle undertaking the project on behalf of the sole sponsor - Gulf Energy. All electricity produced by the project will be purchased by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under the Small Power Producers program for 20 years. Concession contract was awarded under license scheme as Build - Own and Operate. Total value of the project is THB2.71 billion ($85.81 million). The sponsor, Gulf Energy Development, provides THB1.61 billion ($50.74 million) own capital.
